An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bids Project Manager within Airbus Cyber Security in Newport, South Wales. The Bids Project Manager will manage a multifunctional team including Engineering, Procurement, Production and other functions to develop High Grade Security applications and products. The Bids Project Manager will ensure that the customer requirements are flown down via a work order or contracts are delivered On Quality, On Time and On Cost. As such the Bids Project Manager will be the primary interface to the customer ensuring that deliverables are produced inline with the project schedule and relevant gatequality reviews and customer reviews. The Bids Project Manager will be fully responsible for all aspects of the equipmentdeliverables and ensure the allocated team delivers to customer satisfaction. Essential Duties Manage all project stakeholders ensuring communications are established and maintained. Manage the preparation of Prequalification response submissions to customers with the objective of securing an invitation to bid. Supporting the development of business cases and bidding documentation Management and leadership of the project and delivery team Identifying project objectives and outcomes Developing and tracking project plans, budget and schedule The identification, development and management of stakeholder relationships Ensure that members of the project team are actively managing Risk and Opportunities, and have a robust Project Management Plan. Identifying key skills required and developing the project team Mentoring of team members, providing guidance and support Provide inputs to the Monthly Review, Business Reviews and other Airbus Defence and Space relevant reviews and in line with the agreed methods and principles. Identifying project quality goals and lifecycle management Gate reviews Communicates milestone issues with core team Coordinate interface to selected extended project team members This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Companys success, reputation and sustainable growth. Bid Project Manager Core skills Competencies Proven track record of delivering complex proposals under short timescales and delivering complex and challenging projects lead by example Strong interpersonal and leadership skills in communication, delegation and motivation. To have good analytical skills to be able to challenge the core team constantly, achieving best value for the customer. Good communication skills to enable discussion and presentation of complex issues and solutions Critical thinking and problem solving Stakeholder Management Bid Project Manager Qualifications HNDDegree in Electronic Engineering or other relevant engineering subjects preferred. PMP, PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management certification. Due to the nature of work undertaken, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
