We are currently looking for a Biostatic SAR Mission Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Biostatic SAR Mission Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the ESAs Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes you will join the Future Mission team. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Support in the mission planning definition of and Cband bistatic mission Support the payload and platform system engineering of current activities on bistatic companion satellites and provide inputs for the system engineering activities Support the definition of payloadplatformlauncher interfaces Support the activities related to definition on a generic 500 kgclass platform suited to different payloads and capable of flying in close formation with a larger satellite. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in an engineering discipline Several years of relevant experience in a similar role Good communication and technical writing skills, Good organisation skills as well as methodical and proactive Good general knowledge of ESA EOP missions, in particular SAR mission Knowledge on SAR payloads and SAR performance will be a strong asset Experience of daytoday contact with international experts and partners in the field. Capability to coordinate a large amount of inputs Capability to synthesise, summarise and take conclusions A proactive approach, with initiative and capability to work independently Experience in mission analysis and system engineering in general. Experience in system engineering on SAR mission would be an asset Experience in small platforms would be an asset CAD software, Matlab, STK and Excel knowledge would be an asset Knowledge on optimisation techniques would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
