Client and Location For one of our Clients, we are currently recruiting for HMI Human Machine Interface Software Engineer for their location in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Our Client is an intergovernmental organisation with 41 Members and 2 Comprehensive Agreement States. They are committed to building, together with their partners, a Single European Sky that will deliver the Air Traffic Management ATM performance required for the twentyfirst century and beyond. Their expertise is unrivalled covering both operational and technical elements advising on both civil and military aspects of ATM and having experience at bringing States with different needs together for a common goal. Tasks and Responsibilities The candidate will be required to develop Controller Working Positions CWP software modules and documentation changes from specification to design, coding and testing in collaboration with the project team members. The domains that the HMI Software Engineer will cover are multiple in particular tasks are expected to include the following activities Develop software modules for the CWP. This includes designing, developing, maintaining and providing support on applications in the areas of data processing and HMI application Perform modifications to source code, documentation and test suite Review request for changes, clarify the understanding of the intention, perform prototyping where necessary, and create unambiguous software specifications Analyse modifications required to source code, documentation and test suite, and define test scope, to implement problem fixes and changes Perform and document tests in line with test scope defined before Arrange review of own source code, documentation and test result by peers Review source code, documentation, test suite changes and test results performed by peers Perform investigation of incidents and problems and provide solutions Debrief on the status of work and potential technical and schedule problems Execute tasks in accordance with governing quality, safety and security management procedures. Experience and Education Completed professional technical education in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent professional knowledge is essential At least 3 years experience developing large scale 100 kSLOC operational HMI software, preferably in a Unix environment is essential At least 3 years experience using modern C, including C11, template and preferably metaprogramming is essential Experience in developing and maintaining software and documentation in accordance with recognized industrial quality and safety standards SWAL 3 or equivalent is essential Fluency in English language is mandatory Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems and to present key issues and possiblerecommended solutions in a clear, structured and concise way Cooperates and works well in a team At least 3 years experience with the ODS Toolbox or equivalent HMI framework. VN18 75 JasonCS Sentinel6 Spacecraft Operations Engineer Come and support the operations preparation of two JasonCSSentinel6 satellites, the first to be launched at the end of 2020 This is a great opportunity to become involved in our JasonCS Programme. You will have the opportunity to define and develop our operational spacecraft systems for our next generation of satellites that measure the way our oceans contribute to our weather and help us to understand climate change. The Role You must be an experienced engineer with knowledge of inflight operations gained with Low Earth Orbit LEO satellite systems. You should have some experience of Attitude and Orbit Control Systems AOCS and Data Handling Operations on modern LEO satellite platforms. You will support EUMETSAT with our launch preparation activities as well as all activities through the Launch and Early Orbit, and Inorbit Commissioning Phases. The first satellite is due to be launched at the end of 2020. Managing interfaces with our partners, you will ensure that routine operations run to schedule and all anomalies are investigated and resolved. As part of the oncall operations engineering and management team, you will be tasked to respond to any operational issues as they arise. You will also contribute to the strategic planning and review of our programme, contributing to the definition and development of flight operations systems for future altimeter missions. You need to synthesise complex issues and be able to express ideas and issues clearly, with experience of interfacing with international partners. Your focus will be on achieving successful outcomes, using your initiative and your ability to work with minimum supervision. Training other operational team members in a matrix organisation will also be a key part in this challenging role.
