As principal broker of Coldwell Banker Bali Hai Realty Inc. in the North Shore town of Hanalei on Kauai, Michael Schmidt has been doing deals in this affluent area for decades. During this real estate cycle upswing Hawaii is currently experiencing, Schmidt is seeing some interesting deals on the Garden Isle's North Shore, including Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg buying hundreds of acres of oceanfront land and Oakley founder James Jannard acquiring properties in Hanalei for more than $40 million.
