Are you fascinated with the idea of working with Astronauts or better still, be the one to plan their work in Columbus Laboratory, an ESA facility on International Space Station. If yes, then this is your chance! Telespazio VEGA is looking for a dynamic engineer to work with its customer based near Munich to support their activities in the area of Columbus Operations, an ESA facility onboard International Space Station. The position will start not later than 25th of January 2016. The submission deadline for interested candidates is 17th of December 2015. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES You will be responsible for Long term and short term near real time planning of ESA activities onboard ISS Coordination with Flight Control Team and other European and International partners for planning activities including resource and conflict resolution Maintenance and update of ESA procedure in NASA repository Supporting Increment expedition planning and execution Support post increment activities Providing regular console support incl. weekends, as necessary Providing Oncall Support Some travelling will be required both in Europe and overseas sites in US, Japan and Russia in commensuration with the short term assignments within the planning team QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE An Engineering degree, preferably in the area of Aerospace Engineering Some experience in spacecraft operationsmission planning Fluency in English, both in speech and writing ESSENTIAL SKILLS Ability to think in an analytical way Collaborative and team worker Good communication skills Solution oriented
