You will have the opportunity to work onsite at the ESTEC EEE Component Laboratory Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include You will provide expertise in some of the following fields Passive Components, Discrete Semiconductors for RF and nonRF, Complex Microcircuits for Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal and Microwave, Hybrid Technology, Micropackaging, Optoelectronics MicroNanoSystems You will carry out Failure Analysis tasks and other analysis tasks as required and prepare the reports accordingly You will provide support and advice concerning the performance of analysis tasks subcontracted to external laboratories. You will provide technical assistance in the definition and to the management of ESA Technology programmes in the field of hybrid technology. You will provide technical input to the formulation, review and maintenance of the technical standards and specifications relating to the evaluation and capability approval of hybrid manufacturers. You will provide technical assistance in the formulation and monitoring of Capability Approval programmes for hybrid manufacturers. You will support ISO certification activities. Skills and Experience You have a relevant Masters Degree in Engineering. You must have at least 4 years of experience a similar environment You must have expertise in general laboratory practices. You must have proficiency in SEM and FIB techniques is Knowledge of xray tomography is advantageous. Additional metallurgical background is advantageous.
