HE Space is a successful international space company. For nearly 40 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Component Engineer to support our customer in the Netherlands. Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be part of the Requirements and Standards Section in the Directorate of Technology, Engineering Quality TECQES. The Section provides engineering and administrative support to the Agencys European Cooperation for Space Standardisation ECSS standardisation activities and its European Space Components Coordination ESCC components standardisation and qualification programme. You will have the following responsibilities Provide expertise at least in one or more of the following fields Passive Components, Discrete Semiconductors for RF and nonRF, Complex Microcircuits for Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal and Microwave, Hybrid Technology, Micropackaging, Optoelectronics, Reliability of the related technologies, RD trends and the industrial landscape Support the ESCC core executive functions covering the custody and management of the ESCC European Space Components Coordination Provide expert engineering support to the ESCC standardisation and qualification programme Support studies in the area of components standardisation Support components evaluation and qualification programmes, nonconformance and failure investigations Assess existing and novel standards associated with component technologies for future space applications Support projectspecific activities in the selection, characterisation, verification, approval and application of parts listed in the ESCC QPLQMLPCAEPPL Support the ESCC working groups, Component Technology Boards and the Space Components Steering Board for all activities related to components standardisation when applicable Monitor Failure and Constructional Analyses tasks at the ESTEC component laboratory Perform components manufacturers Audits. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related specialisation Professional work experience in the field of Passive Components, Discrete Semiconductors for RF and nonRF, Complex Microcircuits for Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal and Microwave, Hybrid Technology, Micropackaging, Optoelectronics and MicroNanoSystems proficiency in at least 4 categories is required Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
