Vitrociset Belgium is looking for a candidate with the profile described below to deploy in EUMETSAT Please submit applications not later than 240913 by EMAIL to Mr. Massimiliano Mazza, Head of Engineering Operations Services M.Mazzavitrocisetbelgium.com cc. jobsvitrocisetbelgium.com Work Package Overview The service activities include the planning, development and installation of Configuration Management database systems and tools to address EUMETSAT Configuration Management needs via individual service requests. These service requests are issued in the form of Work Packages with a maximum effort allocation and cover activities which can be any of the following Development of a generic As Designed CM tool instance aimed to manage Changes and Configuration Items related to projects or programmes being developed by EUMETSAT feasibility studies, specification, development, documentation, installation and testing of the tool Improvement of existing generic As Built CM tool aimed to manage Changes and Configuration Items related to EUMETSAT Operational systems. Feasibility studies, specification, development, documentation, installation and testing of scripts aimed to automate as much as possible As Built CM procedures currently performed manually by CM engineers or users, crosschecking conformance with applicable processes and working practices. Creation, modification, update and version tracking of following Configuration Items Documentation including SpacecraftGround Segment operational procedures, manuals and guides HW items computers, infrastructure, Comms equipments SW items including SW applications, COTS and associated Licences, ... keeping up to date the mapping between SW and HW items. Contribution to the improvement of existing EUMETSAT Configuration Management processes and working practices More generally Planning and preparation of above mentioned new CM tool instances. Monitoring and tuning of the tools performances, and impact assessment on existing EUMETSAT CM framework. Second level support to CM stakeholders support team, user representatives,.... PROFILE In addition to having a University degree in Computer Science, the Service Support Personnel providing the service shall have a minimum of three years experience in the field of Configuration Management, including build, deployment and installation processes on large softwareintensive highavailability operational systems. Sound practical experience with Configuration Management tools as Administrator or advanced user Serena Dimensions or Clearcase Database programmingSQL e.g. Oracle or Sybase SW development in Java, C, vb.net, python, perl or similar is mandatory. Practical experience with Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS SW development environments e.g. Visual Studio Source code control tools CVS, SubVersion, would be considered as assets. The Service Support Personnel shall also have demonstrated very good communication and team working skills be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, in particular when applying and supporting EUMETSAT As Designed and As Built Configuration Management standards be able to work calmly under stress with the minimum of supervision. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. The working language for the position is English and therefore the Service Support Personnel must be able to work effectively in this language and have knowledge of the other, together with good communication skills.
