Our German subsidiary ACSD provides consultancy service at EUMETSAT Darmstadt. Selected candidate will sign permanent full time contract and work at EUM premises. For our activities in Germany, we are looking for a person to provide Copernicus CSM Software Librarian support. TASKS Maintenance of the asbuilt software build environments Building, packaging and distribution of software releases and patches Support to programmers with respect to software build and development strategies Support the delivery of software externally developed its installation, configuration and testing Investigation into anomalies, their documentation and classification follow up of the delivery of SW corrections Participation in technical meetings and formal reviews Analysis of the maintenance requirements and identification, procurement or implementation of the tools to fulfil them writing of maintenance procedures Interfacing with external suppliers who are providing maintenance services for ground segment facilities MANDATORY University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Able to work effectively in English Proven experience in the following skills and experiences for at least 5 years UnixLinux command line tools Software build environments and tools like autoconfautomake, make, ANT, Maven Version control systems like CVS, Subversion, ClearCase, git Various software packaging formats like RPM, PKG, LPP, tgz Scripting languages e.g. Shell, Perl, TclTk, Python Networking, distributed applications, and TCPIP services Centralized SW installation PXETFTP, NIM, AutoYast, kickstart, Jumpstart Basic UNIX System Administration CC programming languages Java programming language Change Management processes EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass format Practical knowledge in the following areas, as much as possible, will be an ADVANTAGE Serena Dimensions CM Basic Windows System Administration MySQL, Oracle ECLIPSE or a similar IDE Formalised Software Testing MSAccess, Visual Basic programming FORTRAN programming
