Baldomero P. Barajas, 60, of Alamogordo, was killed instantly after he failed to stop for an oncoming Union Pacific train while he drove his company pickup truck across the railroad tracks at Taylor Ranch Road south of town March 15, 2013. Otero County Commissioners and Union Pacific railroad are trying to hammer out an agreement to install a crossing gate at Taylor Ranch Road.
