HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Damage Tolerance Analyst to support our customer in Germany. Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be working within the Mechanical Engineering department on projects such as MPCV Orion, Bartolomeo or SpaceTug. Your responsibilities will include Preparation of load and stress spectra for Damage Tolerance Analyses Fatigue Damage Tolerance analyses of tubing, primary and secondary structures Definition of appropriate non destructive inspection NDI methods and verification approach regarding Fracture Control Treatment of nonconformances and quality notifications. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant engineering discipline Professional experience in fatigue and damage tolerance, with a specific focus on Fracture Control Experience in working with NASTRAN and PATRAN Experience with Fatigue Damage Tolerance Analyses ESACRACK, NASGRO as well as Finite Element Analyses Knowledge of lightweight structures and tubing Experience in space and human space perimeters, incl. typical standards ECSSEST3201C, NASASTD5019, NASAHDBK5010 Experience in material properties The ability to work in a team and support the colleagues The ability to understand complex contexts and to perform analytical and structured work to achieve high quality results Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German is a distinct advantage.
