Investing in you to support the development of the European space industry. This is HE Space. We are currently looking for a DatabaseStorage Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of distributed systems Design, planning and preparation of the new databases, including prototype and testing Engineering support to database operation and administration Performance monitoring, tuning and enhancements Database backup and recovery implementation and testing Database installation and migration support i.e. Oracle to Postgres. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent experience in computing or a related subject Database installation, configuration, performance monitoring and tuning POSTGRES and ORACLE database products ideally v11v12 enterprise edition Database programming, MySQL or MariaDB Certification in the area of the database administration Operation of large complex high availability IT systems Good knowledge of LINUX and VMware Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt.
