DeTe may agree Romania sale without waiting for state's consent - report

2020-03-10 14:53:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom is considering signing agreements with Orange and Digi respectively for the sale of majority stakes in its fixed and mobile units in Romania without waiting for the Romanian state's input, writes local paper Ziarul Financiar citing sources familiar with the negotiations. The Romanian state is a minority shareholder in Telekom Romania. DeTe may proceed with the closing of the deals given that the ministry that manages the Telekom Romania file has not taken any concrete steps in selecting consultants to assist in the discussions.
