We are currently looking for a Desktop and Storage Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Desktop and Storage Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As Desktop and Storage Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities Deployment of Windows desktop systems using Microsoft Deployment Services Distribution of software patches using WSUS Monitor and report on software license usage, maintaining the software license inventory Antivirus management infrastructure based on Symantec Endpoint Protection Provide second and third level user and technical support for user applications and desktops Interface with software suppliers regarding procurement, warranty and maintenance issues Backup operations Support vmware operations Support storage operations Maintain system design and operations documentation. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline Several years of experience as IT Desktop Engineer in a demanding computing environment Knowledge and experience with Windows Deployment Toolkit Microsoft System Center Configuration manager Managing desktops using Microsoft Group Policy WSUS to deploy Microsoft and custombuilt patches Installing, administering Windows desktops Administering MS Active Directory VMware vSphere infrastructure operations Storage and backup systems. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt.
