Through the U.S. Department of Energys Smart Grid Demonstration Program (SGDP), the New York Power Authority (NYPA) and Oncor Electric Delivery Company (Oncor) demonstrated dynamic line rating (DLR) technologies to increase the efficient use of the existing transmission network, mitigate transmission congestion, and develop best practices for applying DLR systems.
