E.U. Clothing Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

2019-01-03 18:27:30| EmergingTextiles.com

EU's clothing imports have suddenly rebounded in October, with shipments from Bangladesh surging over stable export prices in the country. By contrast, China has lost market shares due to the rise of its unit values in both euro and dollar terms. A recovery of the euro may boost EU's imports in 2019, whereas the fall of clothing retail sales and the Brexit may depress European demand. Unit values have bottomed out in euro terms, Our report covers monthly EU clothing import data, with historical trends being analyzed, and a specific focus on China vs Rest of World (RoW) and Bangladesh, and on knit vs woven clothing. Data are supplied in euro and in US dollars with historical data available for download, back to January 2000.
