We are looking for you as EDRS Mission Operations Centre MOC Operator fm This could be your field of responsibility Supervision of system performance and of automatic service provision to customers Maintenance of actual mission planning data and the mission schedule Control and Supervision of planning processes and reporting to engineering in case of conflicts Control and Supervision of key management processes Monitoring of the health status of all EDRS components Monitoring of service infrastructure and the distributed IP Network Monitoring the use of the satellite payload Levell response to anomalies, based on procedures Data collection after anomalies Activation of engineering support if required User Help Desk first response Trouble ticket and incident management, including the generation, support and resolution of problems, for network and customer issues Routine Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul MRO Shift jandovers in accordance with checklists Your profile requires Min. Bachelor degree or a technical education Experience in satellite andor ground segment operations is required Experience in the field of space and operations is required Knowledge of satellite communications, earth observation missions, as well as mission operation ground infrastructure e.g. ESOC, DLR, etc. Willingness for shift work Strong focus on customer and service High level of motivation, self driven with high flexibility and good communication skills Ability to operate in a multinational team organisation Very Good English Skills and German skills are a plus EU citizenship We offer Focused Training and performanceoriented career development Competitive remuneration Opportunity to work in exciting challenging international projects In case you find our offer attractive please send your application documents via Email.

VN18 75 JasonCS Sentinel6 Spacecraft Operations Engineer Come and support the operations preparation of two JasonCSSentinel6 satellites, the first to be launched at the end of 2020 This is a great opportunity to become involved in our JasonCS Programme. You will have the opportunity to define and develop our operational spacecraft systems for our next generation of satellites that measure the way our oceans contribute to our weather and help us to understand climate change. The Role You must be an experienced engineer with knowledge of inflight operations gained with Low Earth Orbit LEO satellite systems. You should have some experience of Attitude and Orbit Control Systems AOCS and Data Handling Operations on modern LEO satellite platforms. You will support EUMETSAT with our launch preparation activities as well as all activities through the Launch and Early Orbit, and Inorbit Commissioning Phases. The first satellite is due to be launched at the end of 2020. Managing interfaces with our partners, you will ensure that routine operations run to schedule and all anomalies are investigated and resolved. As part of the oncall operations engineering and management team, you will be tasked to respond to any operational issues as they arise. You will also contribute to the strategic planning and review of our programme, contributing to the definition and development of flight operations systems for future altimeter missions. You need to synthesise complex issues and be able to express ideas and issues clearly, with experience of interfacing with international partners. Your focus will be on achieving successful outcomes, using your initiative and your ability to work with minimum supervision. Training other operational team members in a matrix organisation will also be a key part in this challenging role.
