Serco Nederland BV is looking for Software Engineer to support the Section, TECSWG EGSE, and Ground Systems, which covers the areas of Electrical Ground Support Equipment EGSE, databases, simulation benches, including those used in software validation facilities and spacecraft AIT, ground data processing systems and ground facilities software in general. The successfully selected applicant will be assigned to the EGSE and Ground Systems Section of the Software Systems Division. Specific Task You will be required to provide expertise in activities related to EGSE systems Project such as Euclid support on the procurement, development and utilisation of EGSE systems, including problem solving, interfaces with external systems and project reviews. Support on RD studies, specifically related to the European Ground System Common Core EGSCC, and Standardization activities in the EGSE domain Maintenance and future developments of the EGSE Reference Facility as part of the Software Systems Laboratory Integrating industrial elements in the EGSE reference facility and verifying their functioning in end to end scenarios, Maintaining an EGSE software libraryconfiguration managementlab website, evaluate needs and generate requirements for enhancements. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require a university degree, minimum of a Masters, or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline together with several years of relevant experience within software engineering, software design and configuration control methods, tools and standards. You shall have extensive practical experience of implementing complex systems, in developing and utilizing EGSEs, in modelling monitoring and control data in compliance with the ESA SCOS monitoring and control systems. Knowledge of software engineering practices and standards applied to realtime systems. An ability to work independently and to establish good working relations with ESA and industrial counterparts is essential.
