HE Space is a successful international space company. For 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for an EPSSG EndtoEnd Instrument Chains Support for our customer in Germany. EPSSG EndtoEnd Instrument Chains Support Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Identification of performances drivers radiometric spectral geometric Definition of approach for performance modelling Compilation and analysis of endtoend performance budgets Overall approach to the implementation of the processing chains forl EPSSG Evaluation of processing concepts for System ground segment Identification of tools and test data for the processing chains Support for the development of tools and generation of required test data sets Validation of processing algorithms and verification of processing chains Analysis of instrument calibration concepts Definition of the infrastructure to validate generated products Review of System level documentation Support the analysis and preparation of documentation for System level reviews. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in engineering, science, or equivalent Several years experience in ground systems engineering for Earth observation At least 5 years involvement in the development of instrument processing chain Knowledge of EO instruments, platform, algorithms and ground segments Demonstrated ability to perform system analyses Excellent communication and technical writing skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a complex environment Fluency in English is mandatory, a knowledge of French would be an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available from September 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
