We are currently looking for an Earth Observation Application Software Engineer. Package description Full details on application. Main responsibilities HeShe will be responsible for the following activities Development and maintenance of our applications in EO domain. Collect and discuss requirements with stakeholders, including Customer. Performance analysis and optimization of our services. Open source software management. Taking care of stability, reliability, and scalability related tasks. Writing technical documentation systemsoftware design documents, Interface documents, technical notes Ideal candidate In addition to a University degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent working experience Broad and extensive knowledge in frontend and backend development. In particular, experience on Java, Maven, SQL, Postgres, XML, Python, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap. Strong knowledge on UNIX systems mastery in bash scripting. Excellent git and github abilities. Knowledge of webgis domain and applications, image processing and data management. Proficient in Java 8, Spring, ODATA, Hibernate, MAVEN. Knowledge on Python backend programming Django. Database design and SQL programming Postgres. Working experience on software configuration management and change management practices. Production of technical documentation in English language. Knowledge of related ECSS standards. Goal oriented and open source supporter. Passion for learning and understanding new technology. Strong problemsolving skills and technical curiosity. Fluent English and collaborative team player.
