Earth Observation Data Exploitation Analysts UK Category Information Technology City Leatherhead, Surrey, United Kingdom Position ID J02152038 Permanent Full Time Position Description CGI has immediate opportunities for technical staff with uptodate experience of Earth Observation EO data exploitation for different applications, products and services, to build up a new team of specialists working in the Earth Observation domain in Leatherhead, Surrey. Of specific interest is experience of working with the European Space Agencys EO exploitation programmes such as the Data User Element DUE, Value Adding Element VAE, Support to Science Element STSE, or Climate Change Initiative CCI programmes at ESRIN, or in the Integrated Applications Promotion IAP programme. We are looking for staff with experience of the overall EO data exploitation cycle, from receipt of source imagery to calval and processing into products andor services. Essential Bachelors or higher degree in remote sensing or a related discipline Experience of EO data exploitation, interpretation and processing into products andor services Experience of EO data exploitation tools, whether commercial or opensource, for example ESRI, IDLEnvi, GDAL, QGIS, or others Experience of ESA tools for EO data analysis, for example NEST, BEAM, BEAT, the Sentinel Toolboxes, etc. Experience in the overall workflow of EO data processing, from receipt of source data to delivery of final product or service Good understanding of the EO data acquisition and ordering process from both commercial and institutional missions. Highly desirable Experience of EO data exploitation work for ESAESRIN DUE, VAE or CCI projects, or ESA IAP projects Experience of EO exploitation work for ESA EO missions such as ERS, Envisat, Earth Explorers or Copernicus Sentinels Integration of EO data with other data sources, such as insitu, airborne, GNSS or Satcoms Experience of meteorological or climate data products processing and analysis Calibration Validation and Quality Assurance of EO data products and services.
