GMV is looking for an enthusiastic Junior Engineer who will provide support to the development of Earth Observation applications driven from Romania. This position implies technical assistance in activities related to mapping, GIS, and remote sensing. To be a successful candidate you should have an university degree in a field related to Earth Sciences and remote sensing skills optical or radar that can be applied to different domains environmental, agriculture, forestry.... Also, you should be able to work autonomously, from the phase of investigation and information retrieval from existing technicalscientific sources to the provision of a final technical solution. Your profile For this job to be yours, you shall have Proven experience in mapping activities photointerpretation optical remote sensing. Knowledge about cartography and optical satellites high to very high resolution Good programming skills in Python Nice to have SAR knowledge or experience A high degree of flexibility and orientation towards excellence and quality Good communication skills, both in Romanian and English Ability to actively collaborate with remote team members Willingness to learn, to share knowledge with others and to act as a team player What do we offer in return?
