We are looking for an Electrical AITAIV Engineer E3 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Provide Functional Support to the PLATO Payload systems engineering team reporting to the Mission Performance Operations Manager. Within the programme guidelines and constraints, his duties include the following Support the DPS lead engineer and Camera Lead Engineer on the definition, analysis and development of the PLATO payload units in the area of electrical engineering Monitor the development and verification of the FastFront End Electronics FFEE subsystem for all electrical aspects in coordination with the analogue chain performance engineer Jointly establish the test approach for the verification of power and data interfaces for the PLATO Camera and Digital Processing System units in collaboration with the Consortium partners Participate into the definition and implementation of the AIV programme at Payload System and unit level and take part in the related anomaly investigations, such that problems are identified and solutions implemented Participate in Payload progress meetings as well as relevant interface meetings with the Spacecraft team as required. General tasks to be performed Definition and updating of the requirements related to the Satellite AITAIV e.g. plans, test specifications, test procedures. Ensuring the definition and implementation of a satellite andor payload AIV programme which meets the technical and programmatic requirements. Monitoring and control of subsystem and system level integration and test activities e.g. participation to test reviews, test readiness, test boards, attendance to test execution. Monitoring and control of the industrial activities related to the procurement, development and maintenance of the ground support equipment, including the instrument AITAIV and corresponding ground support equipment. Support to Satellite, Subsystems and Instruments Reviews in the areas of EGSE, AIT and AIV. Support to the launch campaign preparation, monitoring and control of all integration and test activities at the launch site. Early identification of problem areas and support to their resolution. Support the review and definition of the in flight and onground calibration and characterisation activities from an EGSEAIT viewpoint. In the execution of his tasks, the AITAIV Engineer will liaise closely with other members of the project team. In performing his tasks, he will be further supported by experts from the Technical Directorate as required. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Masters degree in Engineering degree electrical engineering, space system engineering, computer science or related discipline. At least 4 years of experience in Electrical and or functional verification of spacecraft system and subsystems. Familiarity with the ECSS standards in verification and system engineering. Familiarity with system modelling methods and tools. Experience in requirements engineering and verification engineering. Experience in optical payload AIT and verification Experience in science satellites. Good experience in system testing and payloads functional tests. Availability to witness tests and to participate to AIT activities for relative long periods abroad, up to several months in the case of the satellite launch campaign.
