RHEA the fastest growing leading Belgian SME providing system engineering solutions and professional engineering services to the international space industry is recruiting experienced Electrical Engineers for a full time position based in Stevenage, UK. Description The selected candidate will operate within the Prime Electrical Engineering team which is led by the lead Electrical Architect. Within this team, there are dedicated architects for Data handling, RF Engineering, EMC and Power. The selected candidate will operate under the Power architect for Power activities and the Lead Electrical Architect for the more general electrical support tasks. The Power Subsystem comprises two major contracts, the Electrical Power SubSystem EPS and the Solar Array Subsystem SA. The selected candidate will be primarily involved in the EPS activities though will also be providing support to the Solar Array related activities. The EPS consists of the Power Control and Distribution Unit, Battery, Solar Array Drive Assembly and Solar Array Drive Electronics. The role of the selected candidate is to ensure the quality of the EPS suppliers work by the process of review and shadow analysis. Additionally, the selected candidate will perform all necessary analyses and confirm requirements to ensure correct operation of the EPS within the spacecraft system with the harness, the solar array, the load units, the spacecraft FDIR and spacecraft onboard operations. To achieve this, the selected candidate will interface with the rest of the Prime team, providing reviewed and checked inputs coming from the EPS supplier possibly with post processing to the rest of the Prime team. The selected candidate will also support more generally the Prime team by providing targeted electrical circuit review support during unit design reviews for circuit performance, failure modes and derating. Requirements for the EPS and SA already exist and are mature. However, the selected candidate will ensure that these are maintained and updated as needed to match development of the rest of the spacecraft. Prime uses the DOORS requirement tracking tool for this and access will be made available as required.
