We are currently looking for an Electrical Propulsion Engineer to support our customer in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. Electrical Propulsion Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Providing expert technical support in Electric Propulsion to the Agencys project teams responsible for the development of spacecraft, throughout all the project phases Supporting the activities for studies, experimental investigations and engineering developments in electric propulsion components, equipment, subsystems, systems Supporting the activities for studies, experimental investigations and engineering developments in advanced propulsion components, equipment, subsystems, systems, such as nuclear propulsion, solarthermal upper stages, electrodynamic tether propulsion, laser propulsion, Lorenz force accelerators, etc. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a aerospace or mechanical engineering with emphasis in electric andor advance propulsion related subjects Several years of professional experience of electric propulsion systems and components for spacecraft Good knowledge of the specialist technologicalareas involved in advanced space propulsion as design and testing of high and very high power electric propulsion A systems background including an appreciation of the stateofthe art in electric andor advanced propulsion areas would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory the knowledge of another European language will be an advantage. This job is located in Noordwijk.We are looking for candidates who are available from April 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
