Embedded Software Engineer Job Ref 705 Key Purpose of Job Development of Embedded Software for OnBoard Data Handling Systems Key Tasks A successful candidate will be involved with Agreeing requirements with other members of team. Development of software to agreed specification Lowlevel design work. Configuration and Testing of Software General Problem solving Working as part of team to deliver final product. PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications A good Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing or similar subject Experience Development of Lowlevel Software for embedded systems. Knowledge Skills Essential C Expertise Use of Version Control and Bug tracking systems Experience of lowlevel driver development. Understanding of Hardware aspects. FPGA interfacing etc Flexible and able to work under pressure. Good written and verbal communication skills. Desirable C ARM based processors Experience in range of microprocessors. E.g. TMS470570, PIC Development of Test Tools in Visual Studio CAN Bus. Background in Electronics NetworkingRouter configuration. Embedded OS usage e.g. VxWorks,
