Employees return to work 1 day after Sonoco Recycling plant fire

One day after a fire broke out at the Sonoco Recycling plant at 2025 Tellico Road in North Charleston, causing between $25,000 and $30,000 in damage to recycled material there, employees were back to work. Roger Schrum, Sonoco's head of investor relations, said the plant's 60-member factory staff returned to work the evening of May 20, shortly after the fire was extinguished.
