ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY You will primarily be responsible for supporting the management and coordination of antenna access approvals and registration on behalf of SES in support of GEO, HTS, and MEO solutions. You will support the design, planning and implementation of an efficient registration process across all SES segments as it relates to requirement definition and specification to drive automation of key tasks where possible. You will also support the evaluation of current and next generation of customer terminals and teleport antennas utilized to access SESs fleet the coordination of compliance testing and performance validation with ground operational teams the analysis of vendor provided test data and will interface with internal customers and external vendors. You will also have industry responsibilities in evaluating, developing, and promoting standards that will serve SES market objectives. Additionally, you will have regulatory and sanction compliance responsibilities in assuring appropriate utilization of customer terminals. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Support the antenna approval and registration process in support of GEO, HTS, and MEO solutions and applications including next generation mobility antennas Provide technical direction and guidance with SES internal customers, service providers, and manufacturers on antenna acceptance and approval requirements Provide necessary support to Solution Engineering core responsibilities with respect to link analysis, configuration management oversight, training and compilation of technical documentation as necessary Perform detailed technical evaluation on manufacturer test data and in orbit test data to validate adherence to ITU and FCC compliance obligations Help establishing appropriate testing practices and industry standards in support of next generation of customer terminals Provide training and tutorials for internal and external teams regarding antenna standards, registration, and utilization Coordinate testing and evaluations with SES Technology and Operational teams Coordinate with SES regulatory teams in assuring sanction compliance responsibilities in assuring appropriate utilization of customer terminals In collaboration with other technical resources, engage with industry vendors to understand their development road maps and influence them for the benefit of the SES Networks and its customers where possible Gather input from key stakeholders to collate an evaluation to improve efficiency and customer support Collaborate with other technical resources to help taking best advantage of technology development trends Ensure all relevant security requirements and guidelines are understood and appropriately implemented COMPETENCIES Selfmotivated and able to deal well with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities Ability to compile, interpret and present information on complex and important issues Capacity to analyze complex and diverse problems that could have a major impact on the organization Eager to work openly and supportively with one another solving problems and sharing ideas Ability to investigate new technologies to enhance user experience Ability to work closely in local and remote teams Ability to proactively identify and promote the need for change, overcome resistance and provide support to others where necessary to realize the benefits Demonstrate perseverance to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner Ability to evaluate options and present recommendations on initiatives which will have a significant contribution to business success and are likely to involve balancing risk with opportunity Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to design technical documents including specifications and studies Effective intercultural awareness QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE University Degree e.g. FH, TH, IST, BSc, MSc in Engineering Telecommunications or related field Minimum four years relevant experience in Telecommunications or Satellite industry Knowledge of the specificities of the Satellite industry Comprehensive working and applied knowledge of Satellite Satcom equipment, RF technology, antenna technology, digital modulation, test equipment, satellite link budgets Proven track record of working with virtual teams Strong understanding of business processes Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset NATO clearance preferred would be an advantage SES is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer Apply HERE
