Ericsson to acquire Sunrise Tech business in China

(Telecompaper) Ericsson has agreed to acquire the telecom business of Sunrise Technology, a Chinese provider of IT services in the operations and business support systems (OSS/BSS) domain. Following the completion of the transaction, Sunrise Technology will continue to exist as a separate entity, serving customers in sectors other than telecom. The acquired unit currently delivers IT services to Chinese operators. Around 1,000 employees will join Ericsson by this year's second quarter, subject to customary closing conditions.
