Ethanol Mandate Drives Up Food Prices, Hurts Restaurants

A new study by PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) shows the effect that the Renewable Fuels Standard has on food costs for chain restaurants. The study found that total costs increase by as much as $2.5 billion for quick-service restaurants, or 10%; and full-service restaurants see costs increase buy up to $691 million, or nearly 9%. read more
