FBISD candidates split on election policy

2015-05-07 01:08:36| Electronics - Topix.net

If the 2012 U.S. Senate election in Texas had the same format as Fort Bend ISD's board of trustee election, David Dewhurst would likely be representing Texas, instead of presidential candidate Ted Cruz. The then-Lieutenant Governor defeated Cruz, 44.6 percent to 34.2 percent in the May 2012 primary, but because Dewhurst failed to capture 50 percent of the vote, the two candidates headed for a July runoff.
