The FinancialGrants Officer will report to the Head of Department or hisher assignee. The jobholders tasks and responsibilities shall or may include, without limitation and subject to adjustment by hisher reporting line Assist the Head of Finance andor herhis assignees in the financial implementation of grants including the implementation of commitments, payments and recovery of amounts Conducting necessary exante financial checks on the costs declared by beneficiaries under the grant agreement Producing and distributing the required reports for grant payments and commitments and maintaining proper archives, records and databases Compile reports on the financial and contractual information of grant agreements to internal and external recipients Participate in the elaboration of proceduresreports for improving the grant management process Contribute to the collection andor preparation of the necessary information for audits Perform financial checks on grant applications submitted to the Agency during grant evaluation procedures, as well as assisting in the followup of such calls for tendersproposals Perform financial viability checks for external parties bidding in the Agencys procurement and grant procedures. Managing expost checks and audits Managing reimbursements of grants external experts Acting as Financial Intiating Agent and backing up other Financial Officers Interacting in a resultoriented manner with beneficiaries and GSA operational and support teams before, during and after grants process Supporting the preparations for the drafting and implementation of new procedures and internal rules Support in the drafting of calls for proposals, as well as evaluation and award Support in grant agreements management including amendments Assisting and coaching GSA staff on grants and financial procedures
