JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The key person will provide hisher prime support to the Mission Control Applications and Tools Team and heshe will support the evolution and maintenance of the EUMETSA T Flight Dynamics Systems for LEO miSSIOnS. the requirements specification, design, implementation, integration and verification of Flight Dynamics Systems for new EUMETSAT LEO Programmes PhaseBCD, including the setting up of the related maintenance arrangements and processes. the technical coordination in the team of the different parallel activities involving the EUMETSAT Flight Dynamics Systems for LEO missions. The tasks of the key person will typically include Maintenance and Evolution Activities Support to new Missions PhaseB activities Support to new Missions PhaseCD activities Technical coordination of the parallel activities involving the EUMETSAT Flight Dynamics Systems for LEO missions Qualifications University degree in a relevant engineering discipline Required knowledge The key person shall have skills and experience in the following mandatory areas 1. Domain Skills o Knowledge of the analytical principles for orbit determination and control of LEO spacecraft. o Experience minimum 5 years in the definition of software requirements, architectural design, implementation and maintenance of Satellite Flight Dynamics Systems in the context of LEO missions based on the ESAIESOC NAPEOS Navigation Package for Earth Observation Satellite. 2. Software Development, Verification Maintenance Skills o Experience minimum 5 years in the full cycle of development and maintenance of application software, preferably for Satellite Flight Dynamics Systems, following formal software engineering processes. This includes user and system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design, implementation, corrective and evolutive maintenance activities. o Experience minimum 3 years in IV V integration, verification and validation activities for Flight Dynamics Systems following formal engineering processes. This includes requirement verification, system and subsystem integration, generation of test plan and test procedures, nonregression testing, generation of test data, generation of test tools, running the test procedures on the target system, generation of test reports and anomaly tracking. 3. Software Engineering Skills o Experience minimum 3 years in designing and developing software components and applications using Object Oriented 00 approach including design patterns. o Experience minimum 3 years in designing and developing software applications using Java and related technologies. Desirable Knowledge It would be a distinct advantage for the key person to have knowledge andor experience with some of the following 4. Domain Skills o Experience with software development and maintenance of Tools using the Orekit space dynamics library. o Experience in integration of Flight Dynamics Systems with Mission Control Systems based on MICONYS software suite from ESAIESOC. o Experience in integration of Flight Dynamics Systems with Mission Planning Systems. o Experience with support to operations for Satellite Flight Dynamics Systems. 5. System Maintenance Skills o Experience in being the technical point of contact for contractors working at offsite premises and responsible for application software evolution and maintenance. 6. Software Technology Skills o IBM DOORS requirement management Tool. o Experience in the usage of software CASE design tools e.g. Enterprise Architect andor MagicDraw. o Experience in developing software applications using interfaces to relational database management systems RDBMS and experience with data model design for RDBMS. o Unified Modelling Language UML for software design. o Linux Operating System. o XML processing schema design, validation, parser libraries, transformation XSLT andXPath. o Experience in designing, developing and maintaining software client applications using Eclipse as HMI framework Rich Client Platform. o Experience in designing and developing component based software applications using formal techniques e.g. OSGi. o Experience using tools for the automation of software testing.
