Freeport-McMoRan income drops by a third in 3Q

The third quarter 2014 was not kind to Phoenix-based Freeport McMoRan as it saw falling revenue and income based on lower mineral prices. The multinational mining corporation reported income for the third quarter of $552 million, or 53 cents per share, down nearly a third from the $821 million, or 79 cents per share, earned in same period last year.
