Fremont man sentenced to a year in jail for real estate fraud

A Fremont man was sentenced to a year in county jail and ordered to pay more than $400,000 in restitution on March 25 in Hayward after pleading guilty to charges alleging elder financial abuse and grand theft regarding real estate, according to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. A real estate agent, Jeremiah Bishop is scheduled to surrender himself at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on Friday, April 1, said Deputy District Attorney David Lim.
