The issues discussed at the Global Waste Management Symposium (GWMS) were on hydrogen sulfide emissions, refractory nitrogen transformations, fragmented operational data, and PFAS destruction, which are not distant technical curiosities. They are horizon issues that are much closer than many facilities are prepared for. And what struck me most was not the individual technologies presented, but the shift in mindset required to manage whats coming.
