Future Studies Technology Development Engineer J2892 Summary An experienced and knowledgeable engineer required to support ESA within Technology Coordination Frequency Management Section. Objective The coordination of technology activities performed within ESA and the relevant technology requirements derived from the new concepts proposed for EO missions. Responsibilities Duties Specific tasks will include but will not be limited to support the identification of the technology requirements for future Earth observations missions, including in support of European industries competitiveness providing support to technology developments for future Earth Observation missions, that are conducted in the technology coordination section support ESAs technology harmonisation process support missions under preparation through participation to reviews, assessment of industrial results maintaining and improving the Earth Observation technology Database providing support to technology developments within the new and prospective ESA member states Poland, Romania, Hungary, Estonia and PECS countries Qualifications Experience PhD or MSc in engineering or equivalent Solid knowledge of techniques used in Earth Observation missions Solid background in satellite system and subsystem technologies Experience relevant to the task description Qualities The engineer must be willing operate in a team environment Heshe should display good interpersonal and communication skills The engineer should be comfortable in an international working environment and be fluent in English Further Details All roles within Telespazio VEGA have a defined closing date, however if a successful candidate is found before the advert expires the role will be closed early.
