Your Mission In the frame of Galileo Service Operator GSOp contract, DLR GfR is responsible for L2 and L3 maintenance for the GNSS Service Centre GSC located near Madrid in Spain. The scope of this work package is to fulfill the tasks of the GSC Maintenance Engineer within the GSOp phase. This includes the preventive and corrective activities necessary to ensure the availability of the GSC infrastructure to support nominal operations. As part of the DLR GfR Maintenance Team, the GSC Maintenance Engineer contributes to the regular reporting, support milestones defined by the project and to internalexternal servicesactivities as defined by the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities L2 Preventive and Corrective Maintenance for GSC AR Investigation and support for ARBs, including troubleshooting on representative environment and development of workarounds Configuration of the GSC infrastructure as required Support to the GSC Operations team for critical activities Maintenance of the troubleshooting platform, including alignment of the troubleshooting platform with the GSCINF OPE chain configuration Software Installations, verification and restoration at GSC Definition of test documentation including maintenance of the documentation Support to the preparation and execution of the NonRegression System Validation Test Campaign Contribution to ILS concepts and processes, including the development of maintenance implementation plans Assisting the planning and coordination of GSC maintenance activities Maintenance and development of subject matter expert SME training material Follow upsupport of reviews, milestones and project meetings Generation of reports as required Provision of inputs to the release strategy for minor and major evolutions of the GSC infrastructure Skill Requirements Master in engineering or equivalent Experience in ground system operations maintenance, ILS or engineering Experience in supporting IT concept development Familiar with IT systems, especially webbased applications Knowledge of navigation ground segment such as Egnos or Galileo would be preferred Comfortable using Linux Comfortable using Windows Server systems Willingness to strictly follow procedures and creative enough to find workarounds if they fail Ability to coordinate complex tasks over team boundaries Interested in new and exciting things, interested in constant learning Willing and able to travel for trainings and workshops An advanced level of English is mandatory
