RHEA is currently recruiting a Galileo Ground Segment Project Manager to support System Engineering department for the Galileo Ground Control Segment at our clients premises in Portsmouth, UK. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include System level You would lead a team of engineers working on the design of the flight operations systems. Requirements analysis and functional decomposition Design of software systems architectures System Performance budgeting Delivery of incremental systems design Authoring of technical specifications Interface definition Technical review of software subsystems Technical analysis of system design issues Suggestion Team Manager level Team level Interaction with the customer and suppliers Implement team goals andor objectives and ability to meet project deadlines Supervise, train or guide team members Mediate any interpersonal issues Inspire and motivate team members Provide effective feedback Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent in relevant engineering or other relevant discipline Experience in ground segment System Engineering andor Software Engineering Experience of complex hardware and software integration projects Experience in Ground Control System Deployment for either telecommunication, navigation or Earth Observation programmes. Demonstrated experience in leading a team within a large technical complex programme. Experience working and communicating with the European Space Agency ESA Have customer facing abilities and ability to handle technical meetings. Quality oriented mindset for documentation Problem solving mentality Have prior managerial experience Have excellent interpersonal skills Have effectual time and project management skills Be able to make responsible and effective decisions The following skills would be highly desirable Experience of flight operations infrastructure Knowledge in Satellite flight operations systems andor security engineering Project management certification How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
