Germany issues form to report breaches of new anti-hate law for social media

(Telecompaper) Germany's Federal Office for Justice (BfJ) has said it will release a form for consumers to report violations of the social network enforcement act, the country's anti-hate speech law, after it goes into effect on 01 January 2018. Consumers can use the form to notify the BfJ that illegal content was "neither deleted nor blocked" within a certain period after they had submitted a complaint to a social network. The reporting form will be available on the office's website from 01 January 2018.
