Google, Snapchat vet hired to head Oracle's push into the cloud

Peter S. Magnusson, a former engineering chief at Google and Snapchat, has joined Oracle to help in its move into cloud-based enterprise software offerings. The move comes as the Redwood City business software giant plays catch-up on the growing trend towards "renting" vs. owning enterprise software.
