(Telecompaper) Hugo Barra, Google's vice president of product management for Android, is leaving the company for a job at Xiaomi, the Chinese phone maker, AllThingsD reported. Google confirmed Barra's departure, but offered no further details on who will be taking over his duties. In a post to Google+, Barra said he's joining Xiaomi as Vice President of Xiaomi Global. Barra joined Google in March 2008, coming from speech technology firm Nuance.
