You will support the development of EPSSG Ground Segment and your daily tasks will include Analysis of the EPSSG system requirements and contribution to the definition of the Ground Segment Requirements and subsystems requirements specification, taking into account the available services provided by MultiMission Elements and the reuse of existing generic infrastructure and element, promoting and ensuring the implementation of the Ground Segment reference architecture and maintainability requirements and standards defined by TSS for the future programmes. Definition of the EPSSG system architecture and interfaces between the EPSSG elements, the MultiMission Elements and reused elements Contribution to the generation of System Design Documents and Interface Control Documents Support the generation of IVV related concepts and documents, including integration and verification plans and preliminary verification control documents Support to the preparation of, and participation in, phase reviews at system, ground segment system and element level Skills Requirements These mandatory skills will include in particular A university degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline At least 5 years of experience in the following areas o Experience in full lifecycle development i.e. requirements specifications, architectural design, implementation and IVV for ground segments developed preferably in the area of 247 operational remote sensing satellites o Experience of ground segments which are designed and developed taking advantage of the reuse of existing generic infrastructure and functional elements o System Engineering practices and experience on AIV specification and planning for large and complex satellite ground segments, preferably for remote sensing spacecrafts In addition to the above requirements, experience knowledge in the following areas will be considered a distinct advantage Ground Segment and SC Monitoring and Control systems, preferably based on SCOS 2000 product. Nearrealtime data processing data circulation Archive systems Nearreal time data dissemination System architectural design with the support of modelling and design tools e.g. Core8 or Enterprise Architect Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS Configuration Control processes and tools Familiarity with the ECSS standards AVAILABILITY WORKING HOURS The activity is assumed, as a baseline, to require fulltime participation and it may require very limited travel within Europe for certain activities.
