EUMETSAT is now embarking on a new and challenging development programme called EPSSecond Generation EPSSG, shaping the future of Europe in meteorology and climate monitoring, after the highly successful EPSMetop programme. Ground Segment Manager REF. VN1306 Taking ownership of the development of the Ground Segment of EPSSG, you can expect considerable autonomy and impact. Your remit will extend from initial procurement to final handover to operations, as well as postdelivery support and operational validation, giving you a very high profile and significant responsibility for both human and financial resources. Educated to degree level in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering, you will bring extensive experience of specifying, designing, implementing, integrating and testing Earth Observation ground segment systems. At the same time, you should be familiar with Low Earth Orbit satellite missions, Earth Observation data and products generation systems, with sound knowledge of procurement best practice. You will be a highly motivated leader and very creative thinker with the drive and determination to make a lasting difference.
