Moreover, we actively manage your professional development, training and career progression. We are looking for a Ground Station Engineer fm to work at ESOC Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of engineering services for the evolution, sustaining and maintenance of ground stations for radio frequency and optical space communication and space object tracking applications. The engineering services are Support to ground station developments, i.e. support to the definition of technical specifications and statement of works, participation to procurement tender evaluation boards in the role of expert, support to design reviews as well as support to factory and site acceptance tests Support to technology development activities, i.e. support to the definition of requirements, support in preliminary prototype and bread boarding activities, support to the evaluation of achievements Support to preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance Support to operations during critical phases Essential requirements Working experience in the domain of Radar systems Experience in 1. Radar frontends, i.e. phased array antenna for transmission and reception, 2. Radar back ends, i.e. radar signal processing for plots and tracks, 3. Radar infrastructure. Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Expereince with coordinating and interacting with other service providers in operations and other fields Ability to work independently Desirable requirements Experience dealing with external interfaces Familiarity with ESTRACK Other Information Start date is 01092017 Some of the activities will require travel to ground station sites as well as to developmentintegration facilities
