Callisto is seeking to recruit a telecommunications engineer experienced in satellite Ground Stations to join a team of engineers working in Darmstadt Germany. Tasks The primary areas of responsibility for this position are the Ground Station TTC back end equipment testing and validation. Other areas of responsibility specific TTC are Review technical documentation ground station related Support generation of SoW and Technical Specs for new GS developments Support integration and deployment of new GS equipment Support onsite test campaigns in TTC GS Qualifications and Requirements Applicants require a degree in telecommunication engineering or equivalent and more than 5 years experience in this field. Essential Ground Station subsystem knowledge, preferably in the TTC area Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft TTC Conversant with ECSS and CCSDS practices Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Able to work independently Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Desirable Familiarity with onboard TTC subsystems Familiarity with GS front end subsystems Familiarity with GS remote monitoring and control Familiarity with the international and multicultural environment We are seeking employees who are motivated and flexible and who are available to start work in Germany in May 2014.
