Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity and become part of an international organisation responsible for the collating of satellite data for the weather, climate and environment, globally, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. As a Ground Station Systems Engineer, they key candidate shall support the activities of ground segment developments in the areas of Ground Stations, RF and Telecommunications. The key candidate shall have a university degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline along with handson experience in each of the following Ground stations systems and subsystem design and development for TTC Ground stations system and subsystem design and development for mission specific andor satellite communications ground stations TTC baseband equipment and SLE compliant implementations Technical background in the specification and VV of ground stations and large antennas and tracking systems for LEO and GEO satellites ACU and receivers inclusive Knowledge of modulationdemodulation schemes applied by Ground to Space ICD for TTC and payload data transmission e.g. ECSS and CCSDS Standards Knowledgeexperience in any of the following would be considered advantageous Competence and experience in the engineering process for managing requirements from the definition phase through the traceability, verification, validation an maintenance stages using formal methods and tools e.g. DOORs Design and requirements engineering of large and complex Earth Observation related ground stations Usage of High Data Rate Demodulators System experience with Link Budget analysis and tools in S, X and Ka Band Standard RF and microwave tools and SW package for generation of signal processing related simulations andor semiautomated measurement procedures All applicants must be EUMETSAT state nationals and have a good working knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written.
