Hikianalia crew members Billy Richards and Mike Taylor on Saturday inspected the "pou" carvings, pointed northeast toward Hawaii and fashioned in traditional Hawaiian style, part of the star compass structure at Aurere, New Zealand. The 144-foot-diameter star compass at Aurere, New Zealand, was constructed by Maori elder HekeA nuA kuA mai Busby.
