Hong Kong reported August retail sales that showed a -5.4% decline, which was the biggest since June of last year. Evidently, the weak Chinese visitor volume and the strengthening of the Chinese Yuan relative to the Japanese Yen and the Korean Won YTD continue to draw Chinese visitors away from HK and into other Asian countries .
