House sale contracts should be changed to help stop cases where sellers are forced to pay double commissions, real estate industry heavy hitters say. New clauses, developed by the Real Estate Agency Authority and the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand , aim to clear up confusion over which agent can claim commission if sellers change agencies while a house is on the market.
